A new housing development in Worsley could bring ‘daily gridlock’ to an already congested road, according to the local MP. Plans have been put to Salford council asking to demolish a detached two-storey building on the eastern side of Walkden Road and then build eight new homes on the site. The proposals feature four pairs of semi-detached units, all with four bedrooms. Town hall planning officers have recommended approving the application, ‘subject to conditions’.
